James D Loy

For this episode I met with the multitalented James Loy. We talked about his writing, including fiction and biography, about Charles Darwin and Darwin’s wife, primate behavior, and even the art of change ringing. You can learn more about Jim’s books at booksbyjamesdoy.com.

  1. “Fish Food” kept me chuckling and laughing for a couple of reasons: I love the weird, snarky characterizations Jim has drawn in his novel. The same wry humor of my friend Jim Loy, from Washington Pike days in Knoxville, TN, bounces off the pages! Literally, I stumbled on Jim’s novel while doing research for my mystery. I, too, am retired from teaching and have returned home to Knoxville!

Okay, I’m halfway through “Emma Darwin.” Kudos to you and Kent!
